Braves' Ozzie Albies: Smashes fourth homer in win
Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.
It was homer No. 4 on the campaign thus far for Albies, who opened the scoring Wednesday with his second-inning blast. The switch-hitting second baseman is off to a nice start in 2026, slashing .288/.338/.466 with five extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 80 plate appearances. Albies has hit safely in 10 of his 13 outings in the month of April.

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Belts third homer
Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in a 7-2 win against the Angels on Tuesday.
Albies went deep in the eighth inning to give Atlanta a 5-2 lead. It was the veteran second baseman's third long ball through 12 games after he went deep just 16 times over 157 regular-season contests last year. Albies also has four RBI and is slashing .277/.333/.468 so far in 2026 as he looks to bounce back from a pair of subpar campaigns.

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Breaks deadlock in ninth inning
Albies went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-0 win over Arizona.
Albies was the only hitter on either team to find much success at the plate in this low-scoring contest. He broke the scoreless deadlock by leading off the ninth inning with a solo shot off Paul Sewald. Albies has logged multiple hits in five of eight games this season, though he's gone hitless in the other three. He's added two homers, three RBI and six runs scored, and he's was caught stealing in his lone attempt so far, which was on Opening Day. Albies has topped the 20-homer mark four times in his career, but he's fallen short of that mark in each of the last two years, and he had a career-low .671 OPS over 157 regular-season contests in 2025.

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Belts homer in Friday's win
Albies went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-0 win over the Royals.
Hitting a surprising third in the first lineup for new Atlanta manager Walt Weiss, Albies rewarded his skipper's confidence in him by taking Cole Ragans deep in the first inning, the first of three long balls off the southpaw. Albies managed just 26 total homers and 127 RBI in 256 games over the prior two seasons after delivering 33 home runs and 109 RBI in 2023, but the 29-year-old switch hitter could see his power numbers rise again if he hangs onto a spot in the heart of the order.

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Might contribute more in steals
Albies may be one of the players who benefits the most from Atlanta having hired Antoan Richardson as its new baserunning coach, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Richardson was the man most responsible for Juan Soto's stunning 38-steal campaign in 2025, and the coach might have a little more to work with in Atlanta with Albies, Michael Harris and Ronald Acuna all potentially capable of making a much bigger impact with their legs. A more aggressive approach on the basepaths also fits with new manager Walt Weiss' philosophy. "Antoan knows how important baserunning is to me," Weiss said. "It's really important to him, and he's made it important to the players." Albies' career high in steals is only 20, set back in 2021, but he went 14-for-17 on SB attempts in 2025.

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Makes WBC history Saturday
Albies went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Team Netherlands' 4-3 win over Team Nicaragua in the World Baseball Classic on Saturday.
With the Netherlands down to its last out, Albies took Angel Obando deep for a three-run shot -- the first walk-off homer in WBC history. The 29-year-old second baseman has two 30-homer campaigns on his MLB resume, but he's coming off a down 2025 in which he slashed .240/.306/.365 with 16 home runs and 14 steals in 157 games.
